Congratulations to our Johnstown Girls’ Soccer team and their coach Mr O’Connor on winning the Spar National 5-a-side Soccer Tournament Dublin County Finals last week. Johnstown are now Dublin Champions (from over 60 schools that entered) and the girls won a lovely trophy and medals for their efforts. 
The team went unbeaten in 8 games scoring close to 50 goals in total in all the games that they played. They beat St Vincent de Pauls, Our Lady Immaculate in Darndale, Sacred Heart of Jesus in Huntstown, Talbot Seniors, Holy Family in Rathcoole, St Mary’s in Saggart and Brigids of Ranelagh amongst others.  
The Johnstown team now move on to represent Dublin in the Leinster finals in Meath on April 28th, competing against North Leinster, Mid Leinster and South Leinster.  The girls on the team are Nia Hayden (Captain), Aja Chambers, Sarah Foley, Ava Gibson Doyle, Maedbh Hanney, Erin Hussey, Ellen Cullen and Lillie Browne.
